Love these eyes...

So after a wealth of newborns, I recently had a little subject who could walk!  He could walk, eat cheerios and toss his mom's cell phone back and forth with me.  :)  And just look at those big, soulful eyes.  Thanks for bringing this little man in to see me, we sure had fun.

Sometimes, you just get lucky...

I love to photograph newborns.  They are just beautiful and they will never again be as they are that first week.  Typically, newborn sessions take 2-4 hours.  Either because baby has no intention of sleeping or because baby is sleeping beautifully and I have no intention of stopping.  :) Meet little Miss "L".  She came into the studio hungry and tired (PERFECTION) and once she ate, she slept for about two and a half hours.  With the sweetest face and softest skin, she was a dream to photograph.  She slept soundly as I wrapped her in various materials and snoozed through all the moving and adjusting.  What a superstar!

And yes, she is my new Banner Baby...

You know that I love TINY newborns and I love it when I get to photograph them in the first week of their arrival....well, with these little twins, I got one of those.  Just over 5 lbs each now, but they are nearly 10 weeks old.  Can you believe that?!?  They were 2 pounders when they were born!  Thank you so much for choosing me to capture your tiny treasures.  :)   OH....and by the way, I did not pose this first shot, this was all them. 

And the results...

...are wonderful!  Would you just look at how lucky I was to end up with such cute subjects all day on March 1st?  The Barefoot for Babies fundraiser to benefit the PRC was a wonderful success, thanks to all of those who participated.  The day was exhilarating, fulfilling and exhausting.  And special thanks to my lovely sister in law who helped keep things flowing smoothly.  I will be back with the financial results once all orders are placed.  Thanks again!

A tiny post...

Meet one of my latest subjects....a little bitty guy who weighed just over 5 pounds!  What a fabulous little sleeper he was for us, and when he did wake up, he was content and happy.  Enjoy...

"Since 1984, The Pregnancy Resource Centers of Greater Portland (PRC) have helped more than 205,000 women and teens who were unprepared for pregnancy, or faced a potential pregnancy. We helped meet their emotional, physical and spiritual needs, enabling them to make an informed decision regarding the life of their unborn child. PRC began with one employee and a handful of volunteers. We now operate six centers throughout the Portland Metro area and serve approximatly 9,000 clients each year. I believe that the Pregnancy Resource Centers are doing some of the greatest work in our area, and I excited to share this opportunity with you to help support them.  On March 1st, 2008 I will be offering a day of mini sessions at my studio in Troutdale with all proceeds going directly to the Pregnancy Resource Center.  For $125 you will receive a 20 minute session (3 subject maximum), one 8x10 and two 5x7 prints of your choice.  Appointments are limited, so please contact me soon if you are interested.

And, since a post without photos is boring...let me once again share that adorable little niece of mine.  She has gotten to be quite a little chunk and I cannot wait to photograph her when she is sitting up.  Just look at those little baby rolls!
