Being a mom isn't an easy job, but when you get rewards like this, it's all worth it.
Little brother was the intended subject for most of the session...and as you can see...he didn't want much to do with me.
Big brother broke out the sunglasses, little stud and I swear, he did that all by himself.
And finally, little brother warmed up a bit. What a bunch of cuties....
This little guy must have been blessed with a double dose of cuteness. Just look at those cheeks, the chub and that hair! It's true that I am a bit baised towards redheads, but I don't think anyone can argue that this little one is adorable.
All the orders have come in for the Barefoot for Babies fundraiser to benefit the Pregnancy Resource Centers and I am happy to report that the outcome was better than I had hoped for. Thanks to all of the wonderful families who participated and helped to raise a total of $2,550! This morning I had the honor of delivering the check to the Gresham PRC. Thank you again to all who helped reach this goal that began as a dream over a year ago. And don't forget that the PRC also accepts donations of new and used items for babies and pregnant moms. From clothing to cribs, bottles to diapers pails, every little bit can go to help someone else.

before you were born, I set you apart…

I love to photograph newborns. They are just beautiful and they will never again be as they are that first week. Typically, newborn sessions take 2-4 hours. Either because baby has no intention of sleeping or because baby is sleeping beautifully and I have no intention of stopping. :) Meet little Miss "L". She came into the studio hungry and tired (PERFECTION) and once she ate, she slept for about two and a half hours. With the sweetest face and softest skin, she was a dream to photograph. She slept soundly as I wrapped her in various materials and snoozed through all the moving and adjusting. What a superstar!
And yes, she is my new Banner Baby...
You know that I love TINY newborns and I love it when I get to photograph them in the first week of their arrival....well, with these little twins, I got one of those. Just over 5 lbs each now, but they are nearly 10 weeks old. Can you believe that?!? They were 2 pounders when they were born! Thank you so much for choosing me to capture your tiny treasures. :) OH....and by the way, I did not pose this first shot, this was all them.
...are wonderful! Would you just look at how lucky I was to end up with such cute subjects all day on March 1st? The Barefoot for Babies fundraiser to benefit the PRC was a wonderful success, thanks to all of those who participated. The day was exhilarating, fulfilling and exhausting. And special thanks to my lovely sister in law who helped keep things flowing smoothly. I will be back with the financial results once all orders are placed. Thanks again!
I am so excited that the fundraiser for the PRC is nearly full! There are just a few spots left so if you are considering donating, please sign up soon.
Thank you for all your interest and support for Barefoot for Babies.
